MIDA STRIVES FOR THE GOAL OF REDUCING CARBON EMISSIONS

In the context that climate change is a global challenge, reducing CO2 emissions is an inevitable trend and plays an extremely important role for businesses, contributing to the development of a circular economy and environmental protection.

In 2021, MIDA has worked with strategic customers to plan and implement many Zero Carbon Projects (TZCP), with the goal of minimizing environmental impacts by reducing CO2 emissions in business operations.

To achieve the above goals, MIDA has applied innovations and applications of science and technology

I. Transformation of energy-using technology:

+ Conversion from hydraulic press technology to Inverter electric motor press machine

Switching to energy-saving lamps and smart lighting in factories and office building areas

+ Use an air-conditioning system with energy-saving inverter technology

+ Converting oil-fueled forklifts to electric forklifts

+ Using central cooling towers with new energy-saving technology

+ Switch to an energy-efficient inverter pneumatic system

II. Optimize energy use:

+ Invest in a PME energy management system to optimize usage,

+ Analyze and implement continuous improvement to optimize power usage,

III. Combining the use of green energy and the use of recycled materials:

+MIDA plans to deploy rooftop solar energy systems,

+Strengthen production activities using recycled materials,

With many continuous efforts in implementing CO2 emission reduction projects, in 2023 MIDA has achieved achievements in removing about 120 tons of CO2 emissions into the environment, reducing emissions by nearly 33% compared to the emission level in 2015.

It is expected that by the end of 2025, MIDA strives to reduce emissions by 50%

MIDA has been constantly striving to innovate to reduce CO2 emissions and aim to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 in order to contribute to building a sustainable green economy and protecting the environment.
